Type:

Antioxidant

Antioxidants:

There are many different types of antioxidants.

Antioxidants help to protect the body and its cells from oxidation, which can cause a cut to become raw, inflamed. Antioxidants help to keep the body healthy when it needs to fight against infection.

Affected Parts of the Body:

Our immune systems and white blood cells are affected most because antioxidants are used to help fight infection and those two parts of our bodies are what aid in that area.

Foods that Contain Antioxidants:

berries, broccoli, tomatoes, red grapes, garlic, spinach, tea, carrots, whole grains and many other foods contain antioxidants

Affects of Too Much and Too Little Antioxidants:

Too many antioxidants get rid of all the good “free radicals” in our bodies. We need a few in our body in order for our white blood cells to destroy bacteria and virus-infected cells, but we do need enough because too many “free radicals” are not good for our bodies.
